Workplace Description

The Property Unit is responsible for building, owning, managing, and developing the municipality's properties, as well as handling the leasing and rental of commercial premises and housing based on the specific needs of operations and users.

Job Description

As a seasonal gardener, you will work with the maintenance, upkeep, and development of our green areas on property land. Your main tasks will include weeding, planting seasonal flowers, and lawn care. You will also handle and follow up on fault reports, as well as assist with hedge trimming, brush clearing, and other similar tasks related to green area maintenance. You will work alone and sometimes in a group. You will be the face of Salem's municipal property unit and will have daily contact with our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an education in gardening, green area maintenance, or similar – alternatively, you have work experience in the field. You have good knowledge of the care of green areas, flowers, and shrubs. If you have experience handling park machinery and gardening tools, such as trimmers and leaf blowers, we consider this an advantage. The work is physically demanding and requires good work capacity. To succeed in this role, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as you will be the face of Salem's municipal property unit. You will have daily contact with our operations and the public. We value that you are service-oriented and have a professional demeanor. You must hold a B driver's license.

Employment Conditions

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment from May to October, starting by agreement. We welcome your application by April 15, 2025.
